What Are The Best Glasses for Narrow Face Female?

What is a narrow face?  A narrow face is not necessarily an overall small face. A “narrow” face is a lot longer than it is wide.

Quick test: take a ruler. Measure the height and width of your face. Now divide the height by the width. A narrow face has a height that is more than 1.5 times its width.

Glasses for Narrow Face Female Suitable Width

If your face is narrow,  try to find glasses not too wide for you. As a rule, glasses look best when the total width of the frame is about the same as the total width of the face.
For narrow faces, frame width should be equal to or slightly greater than the width of the face. That means it’s ok for your frames to come out slightly past your temples (say, up to 3 mm on each side).
This looks good because it appears to widen the face, which balances out the length of the face.

Generally speaking, make sure the total width of the frames is on the smaller size, but also that the bridge is narrow as well and also look for a design with taller lenses and the ratio of height to width is high. Thus, the high lens frame will occupy a great portion of your face, thus making your face look short.
However, you should also avoid frames that are less than your face width. They will make your face look pinched. (A tricky balance, I know).

You can estimate the total width that you need. Simply take a ruler and measure the width of your face at the widest area (usually temples or forehead). Stand back from the mirror at least a foot. (Standing too close to the mirror will give an inaccurate measurement).
You can also measure the width of your current pair of glasses, if they fit you well. Or, if they are too wide, then just measure how far they extend past your face, and subtract that amount from the total width to find the width you need.
Some online retailers include total width in their measurements, which makes this number very useful.
What size Should I try?  Your size will depend on your specific facial measurements and features, Generally speaking, your face is narrow but not too big. Here's the ballpark for petite glasses. However, the width of the frame should not be less than your face width.

TOTAL WIDTH Petite: 123 to 130 mm
True Petite: 116 to 123 mm
LENS WIDTH Petite: 43 to 50 mm
True petite: 38 to 43 mm
BRIDGE WIDTH Petite: 17 to 21 mm
True Petite: 15 to 17 mm
